Branding the wolf pack
Modern Wolf is a London-based progressive indie games publisher. Their core aim is to provide a healthy and fun work environment that is cognitively diverse and inclusive. They champion games created by gender, racial, and ethnic minority developers. We began working with Modern Wolf in mid-2019 when they were a small start-up game publishing house.
Since then, backed by a perfect match of strong branding, excellent business morals and a great eye for creative talent, they have grown into an established and successful force for good in the often troubled game publishing space.
We created a comprehensive style guide for Modern Wolf, covering everything from typography and logo break out options, to social media implementation and branded merchandising.
Versatility built-in.
There’s a world of difference between a logo that works for the here and now, and a logo that can grow with your business. Modern Wolf was still a shiny new start-up when we developed their logo suite and brand guidelines for them. They had very little idea of how their logo might be used, so we made sure to build that room for growth into a modular logo package. A package that could be adapted and developed as their business matured.
Life beyond a logo
As part of Modern Wolf’s branding package, we started to develop ideas for how to grow their aesthetic identity beyond the implementation itself. Through this, we created concepts for office stationery and mugs, branded t-shirts, promotional hats, stickers and tote bags, and larger signage pieces.
We even adapted some of the initial logo concepts into fun staff t-shirts that were given to the MW team at Christmas.
